- Chapter 1 -

I figured I’d start this off with a little bit bout me.

I was raised Tawas a small town on the eastern side of Michigan.

When I was in the 10th grade my father got ill and was bed ridden. I had to step up to bat and try to provide for the family. My older brother was already employed at a local excavation company so I lied on my application and said I was 18. I got the job.

3 months went by and got called into the office. Go home come back on your birthday. 5 months from that day.

While I’m waiting for my birthday to come my brother gets hired in at a Union place. So for my 18th birthday I joined the Union in 1985. Did water,sewer,storm sewer work for the next 13 years. Got married in there somewhere. Travel the United States and experienced alot. From having a topless breakfast in Florida to having the Mennonites of South Dakota asking us to breed with them to put some limbs on the tree.

 In 1998 a got a local job where it was only weekdays at a motel or a 2 hour drive home. Sancho was in my space! Pipeline work! Started out throwing cribbing. Some you fucks that would kill you. Quickly moved up to excavator operator for the HDD crew. The Jefe just purchased a new 50x100. 4000’ of rods. He was subbing his bores out and seen the money he was losing.

Ol 1998 when boring paid good money and social media wasn’t here to kill the industry. That’s gonna be a good episode don’t miss that one!!!

1999 I moved to Katy Texas! So my ex wife can live by her mother. Worst choice I ever made! I could have been retired by now from the Union. But who gives a rats ass? Anyways got hooked up with a fat Chinese guy that was starting up a company as a Prime for AT&T. He taught me a lot about bidding, updating AT&T prices, permitting etc. That was for like 3 years….he died in a truck with me eating corndogs driving to a Saturday job.

His wife sold everything….end of that job…

So I found a home with a mom and pop company and chilled there for a while….some where in there my wife left me to raise 4 daughters 6-15 years of age on my own

Just before Covid broke out November 2019 I decided to get a rig and make some money!!!

Had some motherfucking asshole talk me into moving from Texas to North Carolina to get rich. Had several speaker phone conversation with him and my wife where he says that I should easily make 12k or more a week! Drove my shit from Texas to North Carolina did a gravy 15k ft job for him got paid the next week and flew back to Texas to get the rest of my stuff.

Needless to say I never seen another job that size again!!

Paid for that schooling.

As for now, I’m just looking for a place to call home where my rods will stay shiny and I can retire in a few years.
